Todd White is pleased to announce that he has received the endorsement of long time El Dorado Hills resident Wayne Lowery in his bid for El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk. Wayne has been a resident of El Dorado Hills since 1985. Wayne also raised his family in the EDH community; both of his daughters are graduates of Oak Ridge High School.
Speaking of Wayne’s endorsement Todd stated, “Wayne Lowery and El Dorado Hills are synonymous with each other. When a person thinks of the El Dorado Hills community, it is difficult for Wayne not to come to mind. I cannot think of many other people who have led El Dorado Hills through such significant change over a prolonged period of time. Wayne has led the community in which he loves with diligence, humility, and integrity. Whether it is students, seniors, or veterans, Wayne is always there to lend a helping hand. Wayne is truly genuine and I am very honored to have his endorsement.”
Wayne is a staple in the El Dorado Hills community and over the years he has served on the Marble Valley Regional Center for the Arts, El Dorado Hills Soccer Club, has served as Past President/Chairman of the EDH Chamber of Commerce, and has been very active in the El Dorado Hills Rotary for over 25 years where he has served as President and currently serves on their board. Wayne has served on the El Dorado Hills Community Services District (EDH CSD) Board of Directors since 2010. Previously, Wayne served as the General Manager of the EDH CSD for over 20 years.
Todd White has received the endorsement of his fellow high school board member and well-known local businessman Kevin Brown in his bid for El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk. Todd and Kevin were both elected to the El Dorado Union High School District Board of Trustees in November 2010. They ran on a platform of bringing community involvement back to the high school district and making sure students could attend the high school that is closest to their home.
Kevin has often been called a driving force in the community. He is active in numerous local nonprofits, which advocate for the well-being of women, children, and the arts. He has also been a pillar in the local chamber of commerce for over 20 years. He and his wife, own the landmark Breaker Glass, Inc.
Speaking of Kevin Brown’s endorsement, Todd said, “I am very happy to receive Kevin’s endorsement. When we ran for the high school board in 2010, it was very tough, but the community rallied behind us. The movement we started together, helped transform the high school district culture from an exclusive environment to one of inclusiveness and innovation. Kevin is a man with a humble heart and he doesn’t hesitate to help those in need.”
Candidate for Recorder-Clerk Todd White has received the endorsement of successful business owners and child advocates Ken & Lielanie Steers. Ken & Lielanie have dedicated their lives’ to the betterment of children. They have 2 biological children, 3 adopted children, and have been the foster parents to 9 children. They have also been long time supporters of local youth sports, with their continuous sponsorship of sports at Ponderosa High School and their sponsorship of the Sacramento City College Wrestling Tournament.
Ken and Lielanie have sponsored the Annual Holiday Shopping Spree for Children in Need for over 10 years, benefiting over 200 at-risk children annually in El Dorado County, many of whom are served by Big Brothers Big Sisters of EDC and CASA El Dorado. This event gives at-risk kids the opportunity to go Christmas shopping with local law enforcement and see officers in a positive context.
Todd and the Steers Family share their love of youth. Both are longtime advocates of quality foster care and positive youth mentorship. They both are strong supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Dorado County, where Todd serves as Program Manager.
